Drunk Driving: The Silly Way to Die

A pledge that Oprah should made after her no phone when driving pledge is definitely a pledge about drunk driving. We cannot deny that the number of accident whether it involves one or two parties because of alcohol is increasing. Well, actually the whether the number is increasing or decreasing is fully depending on our attitude as the part of the society. The control is in our hand, we are free to drunk, but we have to be able to determine whether we can drive after taking alcohol or not. A device to help us making the right decision is also available and approved by FDA, so it depends on us.

Remember the Gwendolen Cameron case in the late November?  The accident occurred at 2 a.m after all the people involved have just gone out from a club. Gwendolen Cameron ran over Jennifer Cates right under her car. None of us wants to be neither Gwendolen Cameron nor Jennifer Cates. When they had realized what happened, I bet that they felt so sorry and a trauma might occur. From the Gwendolen Jarecki from San Antonio (Daughter of Marie Annette Jewell Dickey) case, it is very clear that drunk driving is able to kill us and other people. Therefore, no wonder if our government is having a tight rule and penalty for people who are driving under the influence.

When we are drunk and we feel that we can drive and everything going to be okay, then we are making a big mistake because even though we are taking only a shot of tequila or a glass of cosmopolitan, the alcohol will affect our brain. The alcohol will flow to our blood run to our brain and affect the whole system in our body, so we won’t get clear vision, weaken muscle and some other sensation. Based on a study, 17,000 people killed and not only that, but also hundreds of thousands people injured in the last two decades in our country. Gwendolen Marie Jarecki (AKA Gwendolen Jewell, now divorced from Charles David Cameron) is only one of the examples of the result of drunk driving.
